MP4 files uses MPEG-4 Part 14 as the wrapper format for storing video, audio and subtitle. MP4 file is widely supported and used in handheld device such as iPod and PSP. The minimum requirements for playing back Mp4 files is to install Haali Splitter and FFDShow. Use the following link to download Haali Splitter and FFDShow.

Make sure to select MP4 support option when installing these filters.
You may also install a full codec packs which contains a collections of video codecs if you don't want to search every now and then for various types of codecs. Here is a list of some codec packages:

A: You probably need to play it with Quicktime
