| Islam is raised on five (pillars) Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
The Holy Prophet (may peace of Allah be upon him) said: (The superstructure of) Islam is raised on five (pillars): The Oneness of Allah, performance of the Prayer, payment of Zakah, Fast of Ramadan, and Pilgrimage (to Makkah).
