Islam vs science

Salaam brothers and sisters,
how are you all? I am doing well thanks Allah. i have a qn here..... i hope no one gets me wrong here but i am a bit confused about something... i am sure a lot of Muslim youths face this too when it comes to their marraige.... say you are a female and you are a nurse and you are very well educated in your field. but the problem is your family decided that it is best for you to marry your uncle's son whom is a nice and pure guy and not to mention a good muslim but the problem is their gene is not quiet healthy and normal... medically it is proven that if you marry this guy then the chances of you getting a healhty kid is a bit low.... so the qn is that: what should you do by islam? your family say Allah is great and he will give you healthy kids and inshallah you will have a wonderful islamic life.... who should you follow..... keeping in mind that this professional person whom is a nurse strongly disbelieve their family because sure they are all muslim and of course Allah help but this is the unhealthy gene and the chances is high for your kids to have that unhealhty gene and have some health issue..... i want to ask the muslim brothers who are knowledgable in islam who is right here? the family or the nurse? say this female marry this cousin, will the kids be okay as Allah will help and things are in Allah 's hand? i am confused and i would like someone to tell me the facts behind this? what to do when science vs Islam? or is it science vs Islam ? is it the culture or pushy parents likes to do what they think is best...... i hope i am not offending anybody here with this qn.... i like to know this.... thank you

In my view of points Islam does not allow 100% the girl to choose anyone she wants as her husband and so her parents to give any one they want.
If the problem exist with the boy no one has the right to push her to get married with a non healthy man.
